Button for Beecher Place workshop

We are busy. Our minds are busy. Meditation – specifically Vipassana Meditation – is a technique which can not only help us deal with our busy minds, but also help us enjoy ourselves more. When we learn how to master our minds, which meditation helps us do, we really can achieve anything we want.

During this day-long workshop, there will be a strong emphasis on stress reduction. We will start by meditating for 3 minutes and incrementally work our way up to 15 or 20 minutes to finish off the day. We will discuss the theory and science behind the practice, how to apply it in real life, and of course have lots of opportunity for questions.

I like to hold the space for interactive education. With something new (or relatively new) like meditation, I’ve found that participants get almost as much out of hearing about the other attendees’ experience as they do from their own.

One of my students asked me tonight:

“Will we be meditating the whole time? That’s a really long time.”

Excellent question, and not to worry. There are no expectations for you to meditate for hours on end. 🙂

Oh, and I keep forgetting to mention, Kevin and I will be preparing a beautiful organic lunch for everyone as well. You should know that Kevin has been watching lots of cooking shows lately.

Here are some views from the space:

Event Details:

You will leave this event with experience in both Anapana Meditation and Vipassana Meditation, both of which are excellent tools in calming the mind, de-stressing, and improving focus. I’ve also recorded three voiced meditation, which I will send to you in digital format so you can maintain your practice. Lastly, I’ll email you (in a PDF format e-book) a summary of the course material, with links and resources, after the workshop.

Where – Beecher Place in Crescent Beach, South Surrey – 12160 Beecher St.

When – Saturday, January 24, from 10am to 4pm. Don’t worry, we’ll take lots of breaks and even do some deep breathing in the fresh ocean air on the covered balcony.

Cost – $99 per person, or $90 each if you register with a friend. I’ve reduced the price because I want this to be accessible to everyone, I know Christmas wiped many of us out, and also to be completely honest it’s my first ‘big’ event and I want it to sell out!

Capacity – Space is limited to 25 people.

Seats are already filling up fast – don’t miss out.

Thanks so much, and I hope to see you soon in real life! 🙂
